REPORT ON THE OPEN SKETCH DESIGN COMPETITION WITH INVITED PARTICIPANTS “THE PROSPECTIVE RIGA ROPAX TERMINAL” RESULTS
(prepared in accordance with clause 13.3 of the brief of the relevant competition)
IDENTIFICATION NUMBER OF THE OPEN SKETCH DESIGN COMPETITION WITH INVITED PARTICIPANTS “THE PROSPECTIVE RIGA ROPAX TERMINAL” (hereinafter – the Competition): not specified.
THE COMMISIONER: SIA “Riga Ropax Terminal”, registration No.40203289209, legal address: Eksporta iela 15 k-1, Riga, LV-1045, Latvia.
THE DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPETITION: The Competition was announced on December 18, 2023 for the following Competition object: the Riga ROPAX terminal (its part on the land), which would ensure the reception of passengers in a modern passenger terminal, develop the RO-RO cargo segment, double the number of cruise ship arrivals per year and create prerequisites for the future development of the home port of cruise ships. The task of the Competition: to determine the best proposal for the vision of spatial development of the territory of the Riga ROPAX terminal among the sketch designs submitted in the competition and to obtain a partner for further elaboration of the construction design for the Competition Object. The deadline for submitting the sketch designs was March 25, 2024. The competition was organized in one round.
THE AIM OF THE COMPETITION: to obtain a sketch design with elaborate urban planning and architectural solutions for the Competition object complying with the requirements of the brief of the Competition, ensuring rational use of funds and free competition between participants.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PARTICIPANTS WHO WERE EXCLUDED FROM THE COMPETITION: On April 5, 2024, the Jury finished evaluating the sketch designs of the Competition and prepared the opinion of the Jury, according to which all sketch designs submitted, except for the sketch design submitted by the Vectorpojects Kenya, Kenya, were in accordance with the brief and design program of the Competition.

KONKURSA ŽŪRIJAS KOMISIJAS ATZINUMS:
On April 5, 2024, the Jury finished evaluating the sketch designs of the Competition and prepared the opinion of the Jury. Taking into consideration that the two submitted sketch designs had the same number of points (356 points), the Jury made a decision on the distribution of places for the respective Sketch Designs.
The results of the overall evaluation of the sketch designs approved by the Jury are as follows:
